Where is consultation data stored and processed?
All consultation data and AI processing occur on our secure cloud servers
in Australia (for Australian users) and New Zealand (for NZ users), with no third-party access. Our infrastructure ensures that no unauthorised
parties can access your information.
Is patient data used to train AI models?
No, we do not use any user data to train our models. We utilise a combination of Large Language Models, knowledge bases, and custom
user settings to generate clinical documents. Multiple guardrails are in
place to avoid hallucinations and bias.
Is Astra Health AI integrated with Electronic Health Record (EHR/EMR) systems?
While we are working on direct integrations, our clinical notes can be
easily copied and pasted into various EHR/EMR systems, ensuring seamless adoption into existing workflows.
Can I customise note-taking templates for my specific medical specialty?
Yes, you can easily create custom notes and letter templates. Navigate
to the Customise tab, select Notes Templates or Letters Templates,
upload a sample, and save it. You can set these as default templates in
your settings.
Is there a free trial available?
Yes, we offer a 30-day risk-free trial period, allowing you to experience
the benefits of our AI product before committing to a subscription.
What is the pricing model for Astra Health AI?
We offer a subscription-based pricing model with various options for individual practitioners, small clinics, and large healthcare institutions. Detailed pricing information is available on our website.

Does Astra Health AI assist with coding and billing for
medical services?
Currently, this feature is not supported, but we plan to add new functionalities in the near future.

Yes, you can securely access your clinical notes and patient data from multiple devices and locations, ensuring flexibility in your practice.
Does Astra Health AI offer features for collaborative care among healthcare providers?
While our current focus is on individual note-taking, we are exploring features to facilitate collaborative care and will announce any new functionalities as they become available.
How does Astra Health AI ensure data security and privacy?
Astra Health priorities data security through full compliance with Australian privacy laws and The Privacy Act 1988. We employ 256-bit encryption and store all data within Australia (for Australian users) and New Zealand (for NZ users). By default, we redact any personally identifiable information (PII).
Does Astra Health record and store audio files of consultations?
No, we never record or store audio files. During a consultation, all audio is securely transcribed into text in real-time using our custom streaming service. At no point are audio files generated, saved, or stored, making it easier to get customer consent.
How does Astra Health AI assist in clinical note-taking?
Our AI service streamlines the clinical note-taking process by automatically transcribing spoken words into text and providing summaries for clinical records. It suggests treatment plans based on doctor-patient conversations and offers notes in four sections: Reason for Visit, History of Present Illness, Assessment, and Plan.
What languages does Astra Health AI support?
We currently support 35 languages to accommodate diverse backgrounds and conversations. We plan to introduce more languages based on future needs.
How does Astra Health AI handle diagnosis and treatment recommendations?
Astra Health AI does not diagnose or provide treatment recommendations, as these are the responsibility of medical professionals. The platform provides real-time references to medical literature, helping doctors create summarised clinical notes and reduce administrative time.
How often is the AI updated with the latest medical knowledge?
We regularly monitor and update our AI outputs with the latest medical knowledge and guidelines to ensure accurate and up-to-date information for healthcare professionals.
